Fernando V. Hernandez
Fernando V. Hernandez is a San Jose trial attorney focusing his practice on personal injury claims, real estate law, and a range of business matters. In the more than 40 years he has been practicing law, Mr. Hernandez has represented individuals and businesses in courts throughout California, handling a total of over 50 jury trials. He has also acted as an arbitrator and settlement judge for more than 20 years, giving him the ability to evaluate a case before it is filed and advise the client accordingly.
Mr. Hernandez was educated in the San Jose area and is a graduate of Willow Glen High School. He attended Santa Clara University, where he received Bachelors of Science degrees in Economics and in Business. Following his undergraduate work, Santa Clara University awarded Mr. Hernandez a fellowship to pursue his Masters of Business Administration. He later accepted an academic scholarship to attend University of California Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate.
Prior to law school, Mr. Hernandez was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and California National Guard, and after his discharge from active duty worked for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company (KPMG) in San Francisco as an auditor. Today, Mr. Hernandez remains active in the legal community, serving as an educator, a member of numerous professional organizations, and a contributing editor to CTLA Books on products liability and negligence law.
Mr. Hernandez is married to Tetiana Hernandez. He has three children, Michael, Alexandra, and Marcel.
